1. How do I enter data?

After you login click "Manage My Indicator Data" link on your left panel. This page will display the list of all the indicators that you have the permissions to add, update or delete. Here for each indicator you will have 3 links to View/Edit records, add new records and for bulk upload.

By clicking on the View/Edit records link you can view the existing data, change existing data and delete existing data. Note that you are not allowed to edit or change the data items if 3 months have elapsed since the insertion.

2. How do I get access to data?

If you want to get access to more indicators you need to click on the "Request Indicator Access" link, which will appear on the left panel after you login. Here you need to select the indicators you need the access for and the indicators you have selected will be sent to the administrator for approval. If your request is accepted it will appear on your list of indicators, that can be accessed by clicking on "Manage My Indicator Data" link

3. How do I view data?

After you login click on the "View Statistics" link on the left panel. In the step 1 you are given two options. You can compare indicators across the countries or compare indicators across regions in a country. To compare indicators across the countries click on the "Across Countries" radio button. This will generate the list of countires that have indicator data for in the database. Press control button on your key board and select the countries you want to view statistics for. Next click on the "Select Indicators" button to generate the list of all the indicators that have data for selected countries. Press and hold the Control key on your keyboard and select the indicators you want to view and click the "Select Time" button to generate the years for those indicators. Press and hold the control key and select the times you want to view indicators and click the "Submit Query" to view the data table.

4. How do I view charts?

After you get the data table, as shown in above 3, you can first select the graph type from the panel on the bottom of the page. This has two options, bar charts and line charts. If you select bar chart from the first drop down then you will be prompted to select the variable for x-axis. Here you can select either Time or Countires for the x-axis. After this you will be prompted to select the indicators. When you press the "Submit Query" button the graph will be displayed. For line charts you only need to select the indicators. Time will be assigned as the x-axis automatically.

5. How do I download data in Microsoft Excel format?

After you get the data table, as shown in above 3, you can click on the "Download results in CSV format" link and it will generate a CSV file with all the data displayed on the page. This CSV file can be opened in Microsoft Excel and do your own data manupulations.

6. What are the available indicators?

To view the available list of indicators click on the "Indicator Definitions" link on the left panel.
